They’re pretty close to what I remember Specials being like. They’re extremely rich and dense smoke-wise, and the taste and aroma is like mega-kretek. Interestingly the paper is not sweetened, which I keep finding really unexpected each time I smoke one. They really remind me a lot of GG Suryas and Merahs (especially the latter- they have that same dense, incense-like quality) but slightly less fruity. The brick-red paper is really pretty. These are also incredibly smooth.

These are really smooth with a unique clove flavor. The filter is a bit sweet, but just adds to it. These are definitely my go-to.

A very spicy stick comparable to the djarum special cigars in America no detectable sweetness to me. All and all something I like in the colder days when I want something that isn’t sweet and will warm you up.

I got these in the mail recently and I love the smooth bold flavour. It comes in a pack of 12 and the clove flavour is mildly strong and full of flavor. The cigarettes are a bit thicker than L. A. Bold and smoke better. Super taste.

These are always sold as a Djarum brand but the package makes no mention of Djarum- it lists the manufacturer as “Steviana Ultra Tobacco”. Interestingly it lists the HQ as being in the same town of Kudus as Djarum. Anyway, they’re pretty close to what I remember Specials being like. These were a thick cig with dark brown/black paper, very sugared filter. Smoke was thick and heavily clove scented, but incense-like, without trace of tobacco. (I do not know clove/tobacco ratio) These things would burn forever & would go out if you talked too much – lol. Bit of a firm drag but not bad. These had a very unique flavor I have not been able to find again. I don’t think the deliciousness was only due to a high clove ratio – probably from the ‘special sauce’ they use to flavor it before rolling. If you chain-smoked these, you’d definitely feel it the next day – but they were so good, ya often would! A bit numbing & nice, strong buzz. Very popular brand with my crowd “back in the day”. These had the typical clove crackle and would occasionally *SNAP* like a bang cap gag. I miss these.

these are as close to the original specials that you can get
still a little more tobacco in them then I like.
